  • Wine testing night at Calvbrunnen – vino and delicatessen

    On 20th of August was held a wine testing night at Calvbrunnen – vino and delicatessen shop in association with Ever Dream LTD and El Tunnel – art gallery. The idea of the event gathered two European companies to present among many people the quality and variety of the European products they distribute. The event was also a chance to rise a fund for charity, supporting the famous non – profit organization Fundal, that takes care and educate blind – deaf children from 0 to 25 years old. The organization was presented by Diana Bosnia Sinibaldi. The event was attended by many customers and various groups of people, foreign guests from Germany, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, etc., doctors, owners of big companies and VIP guest. Three of the wines, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon & Pettit Verdot and Merlot, which Ever Dream LTD distributes in Guatemala were personally presented by Mr. Mitsev, the owner of the company. The guests have the chance to taste the three boutique Bulgarian brands and to meet Bulgaria as destination with culture and traditions in wine making.

Grape growing and wine production have a long history in Bulgaria, dating back to the times of the Thracians. Wine is, together with beer and grape rakia, among the most popular alcoholic beverages in the country. Bulgaria was the world's second largest wine producer in 1980s. Today wine production is growing again, reaching 108m litres in 2011, an increase of 4.9% from the previous year.
